We found that Mannheim was a super-convenient first stop after our arrival at Frankfurt airport earlier that evening - so much nicer (and safer) to get a good night's sleep after a transatlantic flight and then rent a car the next morning. Many of the rooms feature a balcony or a terrace and free WiFi is available in all rooms.Relax and pamper yourself in the Maritim Hotel Mannheim’s spa area, where you will find an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a steam room and a fitness center. Not so good things: of course it is an old hotel and needs renovation (at least the room), the door handle to our bathroom was broken when we arrived and no one seemed to have known about it when we told the hotel staff, we basically had to use a cork screw to twist the lock to open the bathroom or not close the door completely.
