In 2013 he was appointed to the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio (Switzerland), after teaching at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the USA. Prof. Francis Kéré comes from Burkina Faso and has been shaped by the inherently strong sense of community and en-gagement that he grew up with. This unique appointment, coinciding with the launch of the celebration commemorating the 150th anniversary of the founding to the Technical University of Munich marks the beginning of a new era in the shining history of our founding faculty."

Among Kéré's designs is the temporary Serpentine Pavilion 2017 in London.
